My excitement knew no bounds when I decided to explore the HARD ROCK CAFÉ. Hard Rock Cafe International, Inc. is a chain of theme restaurants founded in 1971 by Isaac Tigrett and Peter Morton in London. In 1979, the cafe began covering its walls with rock and roll memorabilia, a tradition which expanded to others in the chain. Hard Rock Cafe is known for its collection of rock and roll memorabilia. The cafes solicit donations of music memorabilia but also purchase a number of items at auctions around the world, including autographed guitars, costumes from world tours and rare photographs; these are often to be found mounted on cafe walls.
Hard Rock café that I visited is located in the North West suburbs of Mumbai, near Andheri station. The 6600 square foot café has a rock and roll vibe. The design of the entrance will itself induce you to party harder. The walls of the café are designed with elegant clothing and instruments, played by some of the true legends of the music field. Posters of Rock Concerts and artists covered the major part of the wall.
The Drums on the wall is one of a kind feature of these café. The beautiful interior wooden decor will give you a cozy feel. Around 160 people can be seated in the main section area. The seats are arranged in a well-mannered style, and there are tall stools placed at the bar area. It is a perfect place to party with your close friends or to host. The best part is that one can also purchase a souvenir with an authentic Hard Rock Café memorabilia.
I visited the cafe during the nachos fest and the first dish I ordered was PIZZACHOS. As the name suggests it was a combination of pizza and nachos. Nachos are a snack dish which originated in Mexico and its main ingredient is Tortilla chips. Tortilla is flat bread made of corn and also comes with variants like wheat tortilla and maize tortilla. These nachos were layered with creamy cheese sauce, tomato sauce, olives, capsicum, oregano, chilly flakes and excessive Parmesan cheese and cheddar cheese making it a mouth watering fusion dish. The dish had flavors of pizza with crispy texture of nachos making it a worth try dish for a fusion lover like me. The cheese melted in the mouth even after maintaining the crispiness of the sauces and herbs fused well with the nachos. Single serving of a dish is enough to suffice the hunger of two people.
The next snack we ordered was Mac and Cheese poppers. This is a dish of English origin comprising of cooked pasta and cheese sauce and is very popular in UK, USA and Canada. It can also incorporate meat, vegetables and bread crumbs. It can be eaten both as main course and side course. This dish is quite similar to the chicken nuggets except for the fact that it also has taste and texture of creamy pasta. The outer layer is crispy and golden and the inner portion is perfectly soft ,creamy and cheesy. The best part is the bread which is handmade. The jalapeno gives a citrus and fiery flavor giving it a spicy touch.
All in all just one advice for people reading this- Just keep your health conscious mind aside and fully enjoy the food. A mandatory visit for all youngsters.
