It’s the end of my wanderlust on the sands of Goa. Being the last day , I did not want to miss any opportunity to delight my taste buds and my this food hunt began right from the morning. This time I decided to give a try to North Indian food with a goan flavor.
So my destination was Indian Handi bar and restaurant, Candolim .
The ambiance is not extraordinary and has a very familiar atmosphere like that of any other normal restaurant. It mainly serves North Indian , Chinese and Mughlai food and has a casual dining establishment .It is known for its handi special. The menu consisted of two parts the main course and the bar menu.
We ordered American breakfast as well as Indian breakfast. The American breakfast comprised of two slices of bread ,omelet , sausages bacon and juice. The Indian breakfast comprised of two aloo parathas and tea. I was very excited to have a scrumptious bite of my meal here but was utterly disappointed when the order came after half an hour of placing the order.
My hunger almost died when I saw the quantity of the sausages and the bacon. The taste of the omelet was very plain and blank. The size of the sausage was also very small .
The only relief was aloo ka parantha which came as a absolute delight to taste buds. The curd served was fresh and not sour. The paratha was very crispy and had adequate amount of salts and spices.
Downer came in the form of the service quality which was very very poor. The customers were treated unequally and deaf ears were paid to our orders even after calling many times, The food came half an hour after ordering. Indian Handi is absolute no recommendation for any tourist.
I would rate them as follows -:
Food – 5/10
Service Quality- 3/10
